This Pruning Guide is intendet to harmonise tree pruning practices in Europe. The guide describes pruning procedures for deciduous trees and conifers, concentrating on urban trees. It does not relate to timber production, Christmas trees, fruit trees, shrubs, hedges or root pruning although some principles may also apply. The guide includes a section on palms.
